INTERNAL SCULPTURES
Working internally allows me to work with more fragility, tension and delicate skeletal structure. I have been inspired by musical instruments, shells seed pods and for my final show at the Royal College I did a piece entitled ‘Party Piece’ which was a last supper type piece with tables, chairs, chandelier, candelabras, fire place and table cloth all of twigs. It was said to be like Mrs. Havishams. It was fun yet slightly sinister. The chairs were most successful as they really did become the characters who would sit in them.
